Welcome to our official Website. Action for Development (ACFODE) is a National women’s rights organization founded on 19th November 1985 to provide a platform for effective debate and action on women’s rights, empowerment and gender equality in Uganda. ACFODE’s vision is ‘A just society where gender equality is a reality and its mission is to empower women, girls and influence legislation and policy for gender equality in Uganda.
As I look at the growth of Action for Development since our inception in 1985, I am extremely proud of what we have been able to achieve and contribute.
